“I love, love, love helping people achieve their dreams and I knew that PR would allow me to do just that, shares Erica Dias, CEO of the B Firm PR, which was founded in 2012, provides experienced marketing, public relations, promotions and brand management services to our fashion, entertainment and beauty clients in both the public and private sector.
Here, Dias offers insight on the successful company she operates with her sister, Ashley Jernigan.
How did you gain your skills in public relations?
I did several internships in the fashion and PR industries. Wardrobe styling is my first love and I’ve had great opportunities working as a wardrobe stylist. I’ve styled projects for Comcast, Google, TiVo (commercials), BET, VH1 and others. When I would have slow periods in wardrobe styling, I would revisit my beauty and fashion brands contacts and consult with them on building their brands. Having a history of successfully executing, branding and marketing various campaigns, clients trusted me to take them to the next level.

Who is your typical client?
Our typical client is a visionary who wants to grow. Our typical client is a small-business owner or athlete. We don’t sell dreams; our firm operates in reality and our clients respect that.
What do you like most about this field?
I love watching a client’s brand or business grow; and I love that fact that people see their dreams coming to life.
What is your firm’s greatest strength?
Our greatest strength is our ability to keep our client’s brand in the eyes, ears and mouths of their target market. Our firm is a family business. The “B” is taken from the first initial of our father’s last name, Brandle. My sister Ashley and I stick together and we are each other’s strength. We both believe in quality not quantity when it comes to signing clients. We are very passionate about what we do and we believe that our clients know see that.
